Museums have started using theatre as an educational or interpretative tool, but how can museums use theatrical tools to address delicate topics? In today’s world where we are faced with pertinent issues of diverse nature, from technology to biodiversity, more intimately through human relationships, we are confronted with various human conditions that paint our growths, personalities, characteristics, lifestyles, and values. These conditions form the core of our existence. This immersive workshop will marry devised theatre and museum narratives and objects to allow participants to reflect, resonate, and reverberate issues of many kinds, both delicate and trivial. Guided by a trained theatre facilitator and museum practitioner, participants will be given stimulus and various performance tools to address complex topics and find the safety and comfort in unpacking and shedding light on hidden, unknown or misinterpreted aspects of material and intangible heritage or artistic creations.
